Are you a PSW, DDP and other individual caregiver working with an adult on the autistic spectrum? We have something special planned for you! On Tuesday, September 24th and Thursday, September 26th, our flower garden will be open to you and the autistic adult you care for, so you both can enjoy a day by the lake picking flowers together!
Who is this event for?
This event is for individual caregivers and the client you work with. We're sorry, but this opportunity is not for agencies or group homes wishing to bring larger groups at this time. If you work with an agency who employs PSWs or DDPs, please feel free to share this information with them and encourage them to enjoy this opportunity with their client!
How it works
This event is being offered free of charge. Each day, there will be two two-hour u-pick sessions, offering a total of ten spaces per session in order to reduce crowding in the field. Though this event is free, you will still need to "purchase" your place by adding this item to your cart and completing the transaction. This is so we can manage how many people attend. Caregivers, please select the session that works best for you and your client, and the quantity of spaces you wish to purchase (maximum of 2 per caregiver, please). Since space is limited, you're encouraged to reserve today, on a first come first served basis.

WHAT YOU'LL EXPERIENCE:
- Ample parking: Go to the top of our driveway to the parking lot in the field at the left.
- Personal assistance: Check in at the stand near the parking area and we'll help you get started.
- All necessary tools: When you check in, we’ll provide snippers to borrow and a French bucket to collect flowers in.
- A vintage flower truck photo booth: You’ll love our fully restored 1959 GMC truck photo booth where you can snap fun pics with your friends!
- Picnic accommodations: Feel free to bring a picnic meal to enjoy at one of several picnic tables placed around the flower garden.
- Restroom available
WHAT TO BRING WITH YOU
- Please bring a bucket with you to transport your flowers home. This FREE event does not include a workstation or design session. One or two half gallon mason jars, or quart size jars, would be good size vessels to use, or a small 2 gallon bucket or similar container.
